Christmas

ok, what comes to your mind when you think of the Christmas season?
I think we all think of the worldly reasons for the Season. Presents,Mistletoe, Caroling, Smow Men, Stockings, Trees that are decorated, lights, Santa Claus, Shopping (BLAK, Reindeer and sleigh Bells, and MANY other things.
But what most of us don't think of is IN THE NAME of the Holiday. CHRISTmas. Ring a bell?
Jesus Christ was born to the Virgin Mary. He was born in a Stable. (Side Note: I wonder if Joseph said "Were you born in a barn?" meaning 'You left the door open' and then kinda taking a step back, going, 'you really were, hahaha' and that was passed on through the generations? I don't know! hehe)
ANYWAY!
Christ grew up and then died for us? WAIT?!?!?! Why would the Son of God die for my sins? I am not even close to being worthy of this AMAZING gift from above!
it amazes me that Jesus Christ died for all of our sins! does that not take your breath away?
IDK where I am going with this, just letting my thoughts flow from my brain down through my arms, and hitting the keys...
if you can't figure this out already I can tell you!
We are NOT worthy, none of us are. not even the richest person IN THIS WORLD. that doesn't matter to God. that is worldly. I read a quote today by Demophilus (no idea)
here it is:

"Your only treasures are those that you carry in your heart"

that is so true. treasures you take care of, you save them. We are Christ Jesus' treausre. I don't know why he has given us mercy, why he loves us UNCONDITIONALLY- defined as this 'Without conditions or limitations; absolute'
No limitations to his love for us?? ok, He died for us. and we still continue to sin. and he loves us even though everyday we betray him, everyday we deny his name. why would God love someone with 'annoying habits' like this??
if you had a friend that denied that they knew you, wouldn't you be upset, mad, and hold a grudge. Jesus Christ hasn't! and he won't!!!
ya, I still get into the Worldly things, a tree, lights. presents.
SNOW! :) Snow is probally the best thing about this time of year! Truly a gift from God! Making Snow Angels, Ice Skating,Snow Balls.
where did the Christmas lights come from. there are MANY different versions. but what I think is that someone wanted to captivate the brightness of the Star that was over the Stable that Jesus was born in, they wanted to capture all that beauty into little lights. reminding us of stars. thats what I think, not saying it's right.
What about Presents? maybe coming from the Three Wise men who brought Jesus Gold, Frankincense, and Myrrh.
gifts! everything can be led back to Christ in one way or another!

I don't know if anyone is reading this, or if my blogs make any sense.
